Ethiopia’s fabled historic route would be complete without a visit to the medieval walled city of Harar, which stands amid green mountains on the east wall of the Great Rift Valley. Harar’s heritage is almost entirely Muslim and oriental.

Harar, which has no airport, is 523 km from Addis Ababa, 332 km. from Awash station and 55 km. from Dire Dawa (Town have an Airport). It can be reached by a good, scenic asphalt road.

DAY 1

Addis Ababa, city tour & Over night chosen hotel.

DAY 2

Fly to Dire Dawa, city tour & drive for Over night at Harar.

Day 3

Morning visit Babile, the valley of marvels. PM Harar’s mosques, churches, tombs, French poet Rimbaud house, market, Adere people cultural houses. Evening hyena man performance.

Day 4

Drive to Dire Dawa and fly back to Addis Ababa.

Day 5

Departure.

02. Drive to the Awash National Park and game drive, camp or the Kereyou Lodge, (we suggest camp).
03. Drive to Mount Fentale and the Palm hot spring. Overnight Awash.

06. Drive to Dire Dawa & fly back to AA. Overnight hotel.
